Premise
Not for everywhere. For here.
A third place for the area you actually live in. Walk into the coffee shop, open it up, and see what's happening around you. Not matchmaking. Just the place you live, and the people already in it.
Mechanism
Your following doesn't count here. Showing up does. Standing is earned by being here and backing the people around you, not by performing for an audience. Nothing fake can get in: an AI can fake almost anything, but it can't fake showing up.
Payoff
You're a familiar face to more people than you know. Show up, and you stop being a stranger and start being someone here. It doesn't vanish into a feed. Over time the neighborhood will build a memory of who showed up, and you help write the story of where you live.
Promise
You're not the product here. The usual model is an algorithm built to monetize your attention. This one isn't. Nothing here is sold, including you. Our hope is to be real social infrastructure: a tool built to serve the neighborhood, not feed on it.
We grew up with social media and watched it lose its way. Pondid is the question that followed: what if we built it differently, from presence instead of performance, from place instead of scale?
